It was my first experience presenting at TESOL and what an experience! First of all, I was excited to meet ESL/EFL teachers from so many different countries. I was also very happy to meet some of Teresa's Webhead connections in the Electronic Village. What an impressive group the Webheads were making technology simple and accessible for progressive teachers everywhere.
'English Next' by David Graddol is a document I often quote from (free pdf download http://bit.ly/1k438I1). David was a keynote speaker on Thursday morning March 27. I got to shake David's hand and we exchanged business cards!
I presented 'Teacher Judy's Sound Dictionary' app, a '$1.99 solution for North American spelling and pronunciation'. Before the conference I had the Thompson Vowel Chart printed on the back of my card and hundreds of TESOL participants including David Graddol went home with my color-coded shortcut to English pronunciation in their hands.
My home city of Toronto, Canada is hosting TESOL 2015 and I look forward to meeting many, many more ESL/EFL teachers there next year.
